Obtaining
Silk Fiber can be obtained by shearing full Silk Moth Nests or by killing Silk Moths.
Usage
Silk Fiber can be broken down to provide two pieces of String per piece of Silk Fiber.
Alternatively, nine Silk Fibers can be crafted in a grid to produce one Silk Matrix.
Silk Fiber can also be used to repair damaged Silk Elytra.
